i've been violently antisocial. i apologize, and i'll get out of it eventually. just bare with me.

it's funny that i left deviantart for a bit because Gribby (my ex) was making art that all but copied mine in a lot of ways. it bothered me, so i left.

then i came back.

a couple of years ago i showed her my design for a winged humanoid. a had created a pair of wings that i felt were capable of carrying such a creature, and they were roughly four wings in two. that is, sort of like a butterfly, what with how each wing is divided, as if there were two there.

this was the first design, which you can clearly see is very old:

i drew this in about 2006. since then i've been reinventing it.
so i showed it to her, and she drew a picture that was supposed to be some representation of me. notice the wing style. i had given her permission to use it:

she never drew wings like this. ever. not until i taught her how i made mine.

and now she claims these wings are utterly and completely her design:
